Armistice Day

Pea-hen’s Idée Fixe

In a rush I remembered, vividly, something I regret from over 30 years ago. A petty childhood cruelty with no reason behind it.

I see no way to make amends at this point- it was more a sin in thought than a sin in deed- but still it troubles me.

At times like this I sort of wish I was Catholic and could seek absolution.

I’m not, and I can’t. Instead, I post this little painting.

The Bluebird of Happiness in the Clearing of Common Confusions

It seems I will have work in 3 shows that have opening receptions on the evening of December 11th.

This has never happened to me before, but it’s a nice problem to have. I am counting my blessings.

One is the previously mentioned Art Market at the Arvada Center.

The second is The Unity Church of Denver, who have accepted 13 of my paintings for their “Angels” show.

Thirdly, I’ll be showing with at CORE with two very talented artists, Terri Bell and Melissa Rackliff.

Little things

I’m working on small paintings for the 23rd Annual Fine Art market Show and Sale at The Arvada Center for the Arts & Humanities.

Here are a couple that are finished. They’re only 6″ x 6″- about the size of a bathroom tile!

I need to concentrate and finish at least a dozen more.

Little melancholy with a restless mind.
